Cap’n, I think she’s gonna’ blow!

Posted in Uncategorized on July 30th, 2009 by Joe

Just a quick note to let everyone know that on Saturday the hard drive on my computer over-heated and crashed.  I spoke with the tech today and he informed me that he was unable to retrieve any of the data off of my hard drive, luckily I had backed up most of the info on an external HD!  But, sadly I have lost all of my email contacts.  If you all wouldn’t mind please send me an email so that I can start to rebuild my contact list.  I will begin to respond to all email requests and emails within the next few days.

I will also begin scanning and uploading all of the art that I received in the shipment just prior to Comic-Con that did not sell at the show and have it up on the site within the next week or so.  I will also be posting photos taken from our booth.  Again, I would like to thank everyone who dropped by the booth and those who stopped by Renato and Joe’s Artists Alley table, it was a pleasure meeting some of you for the first time and seeing some old friends.

Thanks for your patience.

Cheers!

San Diego Comic-Con!

Posted in Shows & Conventions on July 25th, 2009 by Joe

For those of you unable to make it to San Diego this year for Comic-Con, my humblest of apologies.  This is one of the most insane Cons ever!  People, stars and glitterati everywhere!  I just want to thank everyone that has dropped byand said “hi” and picked up some art, a sketchbook or a print – thanks.  It’s a lot a fun, a lot of hard work but by far what I miss most is being able to walk around the convention center and simply “geek” at all the cool booth, check out all the cool shwag being given away and people watch.  Now for the dirt!  A friend if ours got rejected trying to crash the Megan Fox pool party!  LOL!  Also couple of star sightings today including, Gene Simmons (of KISS fame) and Nick Simmons son of same.  Current actor and former WWF Wrestler Tommy “Tiny” Lister, and lastly while I was attempting to wade through an absolute throng of people snapping pics of everyone’s favorite hobbit – Elijah Wood!  All of this was in a mere twenty minute span!  AMAZING!

Wish you were here.

Cheers!

Joe Prado has the opportunity to work with one of his idols and a character that he has wanted to draw for many years.  Joe was personally selected by Mike Grell to help re-launch the fan favorite title “The Warlord”.  Keep your eyes out, these issues are hot! Renato Guedes is continuing his run with writer extraordinaire James Robinson on “Superman”.  It will be interesting to see where James and Renato take us following the death of Pa Kent and the aftermath of New Krypton.
